During a half century of her work as an artist, Isabel Bloom achieved status as one of the Quad-Cities’ true icons. Having studied under American Master, Grant Wood, Isabel developed her own simple, yet recognizable style and later perfected her own “direct concrete” process for sculpting which remains virtually the same today.

Inspired by the gentle innocence of children, Isabel designed this sculpture in the 1950’s. Among the most popular of her designs, it represents a universal symbol of friendship and love. This will make an excellent addition to your garden or courtyard and turn blue in the rain as this one is the Weathered Bronze color. The statue is made of specially blended cast concrete finished by the artist in Weathered Bronze.
